At level B1, the user becomes independent. He/she can maintain interaction: he/she can understand and maintain a discussion and give his/her opinion. He/she is capable of dealing with situations likely to arise in daily life.

The topics of the DELF B1 for schools exam take into account the interests of young people. The DELF B1 for schools constitutes a good stage to motivate teenagers in their French learning by recognizing the efforts they made to learn French.



The DELF B1 for schools diploma's value is the exact same as the DELF B1. Indeed, the issued diploma is the same. There is no indication on the certificate of the fact that it was the DELF for schools that was taken. Please note that the subjects of the DELF junior version and the DELF for schools are exactly the same. You will take a DELF for schools if there is a convention between local educational authorities and the French embassy of your country. Otherwise, you will take a DELF junior version.

The DELF B1 for schools examination is based on level B1 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
