DELF A2 for schools is based on the same principle of the DELF A1 for schools. It is intended for teenagers between 12 and 18 years old in middle and high-school. DELF A2 for schools recognizes the linguistic competency of a basic user, considered as a social actor. The candidate can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring the most common polite phrases and exchanges of information. This examination benefits from a very positive evaluation which is not made to sanction but to highlight the French learning. The topics of the DELF A2 for schools exam take into account the interests of young people. DELF A2 for schools constitutes a good stage to motivate teenagers in their French learning by recognizing the efforts they made to learn French.

DELF A2 for schools diploma's value is the exact same as the DELF A2. Indeed, the issued diploma is the same. There is no indication on the certificate of the fact that it was the DELF for schools that was taken. Please note that the subjects of the DELF junior version and the DELF for schools are exactly the same. You will take a DELF for schools if there is a convention between local educational authorities and the French embassy of your country. Otherwise, you will take a DELF junior version.

DELF A2 for schools examination is based on level A2 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
